  • Mothers Out Front works actively on the issue of climate change.  Click on “Make the Change” on their home page to switch to green electricity.
  • Climate Action Now: western Massachusetts is an active organization with several environmental action groups.  They meet monthly, usually alternating between Amherst and Northampton.

Cutting the vast amounts of man-made pollution that feed global warming is an enormous challenge for societies that gobble up coal, oil and gas.   • The Green Boat: Reviving Ourselves in Our Capsized Culture by Mary Pipher.  Dr. Pipher examines how we as individuals and as a culture cope with the tidal wave of environmental information, including news of global climate collapse, that we must confront every day. Related TED talk is here.
