Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho was called a ‘hooligan’ by German publication Bild for shoving Kingsley Coman into the advertising board during the Red Devils’ last UEFA Champions League group fixture against Bayern Munich. The incident occurred in the 25th minute, when Coman held off Garnacho to guide the ball out of play and the Argentine attacker wrestled him into the advertising hoardings. After several Bayern Munich players appealed for Garnacho to be sent off, he avoided a red card but could not prevent Bayern Munich from winning the match. The only goal of the game was scored by France international Coman in the 71st minute, leading to Manchester United’s elimination from the competition with just four points and finishing at the bottom of Group A. Garnacho, who has been praised by pundits for his recent performances, could not influence the match and is seemingly taking over the left-wing position from teammate Marcus Rashford. In the Premier League fixture against Liverpool on Sunday, the 19-year-old is expected to start. Former Manchester United star Jaap Stam stated that Brazilian winger Antony is not good enough to play for Manchester United after he failed to score and lost possession 14 times in the match against Bayern Munich. Antony has not made a significant goal contribution this season, despite completing 17 appearances for the Red Devils.
