The Syed Modi India International 2023 badminton tournament will kick off on Tuesday, November 28 in the Indian city of Lucknow. The BWF Super 300 tournament will feature top Indian shuttlers, including former world no. 1, Kidambi Srikanth, in the men’s singles event. PV Sindhu will not be participating in the women’s singles category, but the event will showcase several junior shuttlers. Indian fans can watch the initial rounds of the tournament on the Badminton World Federation’s official YouTube channel, BWF.TV. From the quarterfinals onwards, the matches will be telecast live on the Sports 18 TV channel in India, and also live streamed on the Jio Cinema app. The event will feature big names such as Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto and Chou Tien Chen in the men’s singles category. The women’s singles segment will see prominent players like N. Okuhara and Aya Ohori from Japan. The doubles categories will also have a strong participation from Japan and England. The event will also have a mixed doubles category, featuring impressive pairings, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tournament.
