A WWE Superstar has delivered a message to Gunther ahead of RAW. The red brand will air live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the final episode before Survivor Series 2023. Gunther will defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz at the premium live event this weekend. The Ring General has become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history, holding onto the title for 528 days. He captured the title from Ricochet on June 10, 2022, and successfully defended it against Ricochet on December 16 of that year.
Ricochet took to social media ahead of RAW to send a message to Gunther, posting highlights of his loss to the Intercontinental Champion last December. Gunther recently praised Matt Riddle for his unique style before Riddle was released by the company. Riddle was let go by the promotion in September after achieving much during his time as a WWE superstar. Gunther stated in an exclusive interview that he had wrestled Riddle on the independent scene several times before signing with the company and that Riddle presented a unique challenge due to his background in MMA.
The Miz, who has held the Intercontinental Championship eight times during his WWE career, will challenge Gunther for the title at Survivor Series. This will be an interesting match to watch.
