India beat Australia by 6 runs in yesterday’s T20I in Bengaluru. With the win, India clinched the 5-match series 4-1. India batted first and scored 160/8, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (21 off 15) providing an aggressive start. After a mini-collapse, Shreyas Iyer (53 off 37), Jitesh Sharma (24 off 16), and Axar Patel (31 off 21) contributed to India’s competitive total. Chasing 161, Australia’s Travis Head (28 off 18) and Ben McDermott (54 off 36) kept them in the hunt, but Arshdeep Singh (2/40) held his nerve to secure the win for India. Shreyas Iyer’s impressive fifty, Axar’s all-round performance, and the bowling efforts of Mukesh, Bishnoi, and Arshdeep stood out for India. For Australia, Behrendorff, Dwarshuis, and McDermott were the standout performers. Axar Patel was named Player of the Match.
