Ex-NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines recently commented on the sentencing of Naomi O’Brien, who received nearly nine years in prison for sexually abusing a child. O’Brien was charged for encouraging and assisting in the sexual assault of a child and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, according to the Greater Manchester Police. She was prosecuted alongside Jonathan Walker, who was found guilty of sexually abusing a four-year-old boy.
Riley Gaines also appeared in the controversial film “Lady Ballers,” which has been criticized for its portrayal of transgender individuals in sports. The movie features a storyline where male students are encouraged to identify as trans women in order to compete in women’s sports. Gaines spoke about the movie at a congressional testimony, expressing her belief that it was necessary to mock the mockery through comedy. She also mentioned her hope that both O’Brien and Walker would be sentenced for life for their crimes.
