The Men in Blue go into the final unbeaten, having won 10 consecutive matches. Samson was also left out of the Asia Cup squad and the three-match ODI series against Australia before the World Cup. He is expected to return to the team during India’s five-match T20I series against Australia, starting on November 23 in Visakhapatnam. With many senior players likely to be rested for the series, Samson could earn a call-up and aim to prove himself for the 2024 T20 World Cup. His last international appearance was in August, where he scored 40 runs in a T20I against Ireland.
