CM Punk Threw Back – Ace Steel, RAW GM, and More
CM Punk was recently spotted in a throwback post by one of his close friends alongside another prominent figure in WWE. This photo featured Punk, Ace Steel, and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Steel trained the Straight Edge Superstar at the beginning of his career and also worked with him in ROH and later at AEW. However, Steel was released due to his involvement in the Brawl-Out incident last year.
Ace Steel shared an old photo of himself, CM Punk, and Adam Pearce on Instagram, reminiscing about a “All You Can Eat Shrimp” meal and teasing Punk’s free agency in WWE as they wondered which brand he would sign with. Adam Pearce heads Monday Night RAW, and this could be a hint at the Chicago native signing with the red brand.
Following his appearances on RAW and SmackDown after his return to WWE, CM Punk teased making an appearance in NXT, specifically at its Deadline event, as he was spotted in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the venue for the event. There were reports of both CM Punk and Triple H being present at the venue, but no actual appearance from Punk.
With the event about to start, fans are curious to see if the former AEW World Champion will indeed make an appearance on the Black and Gold brand. What are your thoughts on Punk possibly signing with NXT? Let us know in the comments section below.
