Iconic Wrestling Dynasty Set to Make AEW Debut

The fourth annual ‘Winter is Coming’ edition of AEW Dynamite will take place on December 13th, and the legendary wrestling family, The Von Erich Family, will appear live in Arlington, Texas for their All Elite Wrestling debuts.

The Von Erich Family was a major part of the professional wrestling scene in the 1980s, particularly in World Class Championship Wrestling, and their presence in Texas is significant due to the history they have in the state.

Kevin Von Erich officially retired in 1995 but made a one-time appearance in 2017 alongside his sons, Russ and Marshall, in Israel. His sons have been performing as a tag team for over a decade and have wrestled in various major promotions up to 2022.

In addition to their appearance on Dynamite, the Von Erichs will soon have their family history portrayed in a feature-length film titled ‘The Iron Claw,’ set to be released in theaters on December 22nd, 2023. The movie will star Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, and Lily James, as well as former and current AEW stars.

‘The Iron Claw,’ distributed by A24, follows the story of Fritz Von Erich and his sons, showcasing their wrestling success and the personal tragedies they faced outside of the ring. The movie will be released across the United States later this month.
