Team India will take on Australia in the 2023 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19. Samson sent his best wishes to Rohit Sharma and the team through an Instagram story. Despite his impressive 50-over record, Samson missed out on the World Cup squad. The Men in Blue go into the final unbeaten, having won 10 consecutive matches. Samson was also left out of the Asia Cup squad and the three-match ODI series against Australia before the World Cup. He is expected to return to the team during India’s five-match T20I series against Australia, starting on November 23 in Visakhapatnam. With many senior players likely to be rested for the series, Samson could earn a call-up and aim to prove himself for the 2024 T20 World Cup. His last international appearance was in August, where he scored 40 runs in a T20I against Ireland.
