Novak Djokovic recently attended a Serie A match between Juventus and Cagliari in Turin ahead of his 2023 ATP Finals tournament opener. He is in Italy to pursue a record seventh ATP Finals title and aim for an eighth-year-end No. 1 finish. Djokovic, a fan of soccer and supporter of Serie A club AC Milan, witnessed Juventus’ 2-1 victory over Cagliari at the Allianz Stadium on November 11. His attendance at the match demonstrates his well-known passion for soccer. Djokovic will headline the Green Group at the 2023 ATP Finals and compete against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, and Jannik Sinner. He will kick off his campaign against Rune on November 12 in a rematch of their Paris Masters quarterfinal. In a recent interview, Djokovic stated that he expected a tough match against Rune and highlighted the similarities in their style of play. Rune is coached by Boris Becker, who previously worked with Djokovic from 2013 to 2016. Djokovic praised Becker’s coaching prowess and expressed confidence in the German’s ability to positively impact Rune’s game.
