NHL Dept of Player Safety has fined Nils Hoglander $2,864.58, the max allowable fine. The forward was ejected from the Canucks vs. Sharks game for slew-footing Kevin Labanc. The controversial play occurred in the second period. Despite the fine, the Canucks are performing well with a 13-5-1 record. Hoglander has been averaging 8 points and 21 shots in 17 games for the Canucks.
