The return of Kyle O’Reilly to the wrestling ring may be on the horizon, as recent reports suggest that he was seen backstage at the AEW promotion. O’Reilly, a former NXT Tag Team Champion, has had a successful career across various major promotions, including ROH, NJPW, PWG, and WWE.
His last appearance in the ring was a year and a half ago when he faced Jon Moxley on Dynamite. However, a neck injury and complications post-surgery have kept him out of action. The report from Fightful Select indicates that O’Reilly’s presence backstage at AEW may signal a comeback, following a period of recovery from his injury.
Fans had been anticipating a potential reunion of O’Reilly with his Undisputed Era comrades, but with Bobby Fish being a free agent and Adam Cole dealing with an injury, it remains to be seen if and when such a reunion could take place.
