The Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Gardner Minshew and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. started off the Week 15 game with a bang, but their momentum was cut short by a scary injury. Pittman suffered a concussion after taking a hard hit to the head from Steelers defensive back Damontae Kazee. Despite being flagged for unnecessary roughness and ejected from the game, some fans blamed Minshew for the injury, suggesting he put Pittman in harm’s way with a poor pass.
Pittman received medical assistance on the field but was able to walk off to the sideline and later posted on social media that he was “all good.” The Colts will be hopeful that he clears the NFL concussion protocol to play in their Week 16 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Meanwhile, Minshew continued to shine in the game, finishing with 215 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Colts improved to 8-6 on the season. They currently hold the seventh seed in the AFC playoff and will look to finish the season strong to secure their spot in the playoffs.
