The goal of a waiver-wire column should be to point out potential breakout players. After all, trying to pick up that player after they have already broken out is much more difficult. Waiver-wire moves at this point in the season should be made to add depth for the fantasy playoffs or to improve chances of winning the upcoming week. Not all waiver-wire columns will feature a future star or an obvious add, but there is usually help available for fantasy teams if we look hard enough. I will try to avoid recommending players who are coming off a big game because it should be clear to most that they need to be on a roster at that point.
